Snowboarding

So its been about 10 years since me and Robby went snowboarding. Wait! Thats how old Westley is now. Anyways we went up to Mt. Charleston today and we taught Westley how to snowboard. He didn't need much direction. He just got up and went. He was so awesome. I have lots of videos and pictures of him jumping and turning and carving too. For his first time, he did great. He had so much fun. Usually everybody hates their first time, not Westley. Robby and I did pretty good too. (we are going to be hurtin' tomorrow). It was a nice day. Only a 25 minute drive for a fun day. Once they get more snow up there it'll be great.

Fun from Aruba

Westley and Taylor
Hailey

Yep, they are all sitting on the table

Blake, Hailey and Nana

My parents travel all the time. I can't even keep track of all their trips. They just got back from Aruba. Everyday they walked up and down the beach collecting sea shells to bring home to all their grandbabies. And they brought a bunch of sand too. Nana bought each of the kids a jar to fill with sand and shells from Aruba. They had so much fun picking out the shells they wanted for their jars, and arranging them just so.

Baseball

Robby and Westley

Westley started playing baseball about a month ago. He really likes it and he's doing great.
Robby is assistant coach. He is so good at it and I think he really likes working with the boys. It's been really good for Westley too. I really enjoy going to the practices and the games are so much fun. Today Westley got a good hit and ran to first base, then he stole second base then third and then he stole his way home and got a run for the team. He was so excited. We won the game today and it was against the only team that we lost to. We smoked 'em. Does that make us undefeated? GO PURPLE DESTROYERS!

Slumber Party

So I'm glad I bought the big package of plastic cups from costco.
Westley and Hailey invited our good friends Phoenix, Blaise and Kenedi Frei over for a sleep over. They were all playing together so well and having a blast. They like to play in the garage when its too dark to play outside. They got a little creative with the cups. The tallest cup pyramid I have ever seen. They were so proud.

And this is the kids washing all of the cups one by one in the kitchen sink.

They created a pretty efficient assemby line. They took turns at each station. Good job guys!

Back to school

As much as I love track break...I'm glad it's over. This was such a busy summer. So far so good. Hailey has lots a friends in her class. And her teacher seems nice. She starts GATE on Monday, she's so excited about it. We were worried about how Westley was going to do this year, His teacher has a reputation for being sooo mean. So far he has had a great week. His teacher gives out marbles for good behavior and Westley already has earned 6. For every marble he earns I am going to give him a quarter. At this rate it might be about 5 bucks a week! He wants to go to sea camp so this is going to be his way of earning money to help pay for it. His teacher(Mrs. Lee) and I had a nice chat after open house and I think she is exactly what Westley needs. Westley is not convinced yet.

Haileys Baptism

Hailey was so excited to get baptized. She loves to go to church. She is such a specail girl and she sets such a good example for our family. I love her sweet spirit. She was baptized by her Uncle Brandon and confirmed by my dad. I will post some better pictures of her in her dress when I have them done. All of the kids that got baptized that day sang I Am a Child of God and Hailey sang it so beautifully (I think she was singing a solo) You could definately here her voice above the others. She was born to perform and you can tell she loves it. I am so proud of her.

So busy gotta catch up.....

So much has happened in the last few weeks..... schools out finally!, Westley is 10 now and Hailey is 8. We went to Hollywood (not for American Idol) to see Wicked. It was Awsome! We also went to Hurricane Harbor (water park) and to Zuma beach. I was trying to put together a bday party for the kids at the last minute for when we got home. It was mostly family cause it was such short notice and the kids are of out school so that makes it hard too. But it turned out good and fun. Here are some pics of all the festivites.

Back in the Day when...

This should be fun. I saw this on Kir's blog.

As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I shared. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you can remember.

Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It should be fun to see the responses. If you leave me a memory on my blog I'll assume you're playing along and I will leave you a comment on your blog about you.

I'm part of the club now!

Yeah! Thanks Kir for helping me start this blog. I'm so excited! This is so fun. I jumped on the bandwagon, finally....since I quit scrapbooking years ago. Life is just to busy for all that. This is easier to share anyways.

So My first blog is about The 4th of July.. it was fun. I think this is starting to become a tradition. We all go to Kirsten and Jims cul-de-sac and do fireworks. Their neighbors always have illegal ones, so thats cool. The cops came and gave us all a warning, it was funny. Westley had the most fun because we let him light fireworks this year. He'll be 10 next week. WOW! Time flies.

Westley and Lincoln are best buds

Me and Diddy

Hailey Annesberry loves the sparklers

Brookie loves her Uncle Robby, he was keeping her safe from the fireworks
